Grants and Beneficiaries

Once a year, MCC performs a concert to raise awareness of and funds for a nonprofit organization that addresses an important need in our local area.  We accept applications starting in the early fall with a due date of November 22nd, 2024 and will make our selection by mid-December.

In 2025, Midcoast Community Chorus is again planning to give concerts in both January and June, where we will announce and provide a grant to benefit a Midcoast non-profit organization. The grant will be in the amount of $5,000.00. Applications for the 2025 grant are now open and must be post-marked by November 22nd, 2024. Last year at the June 16, 2024 concert, “Hope Sings!”, to benefit the Penobscot Bay YMCA LIVE STRONG Program that supports for cancer patients and survivors. This grant allowed the YMCA to provide two 12-week sessions of this beneficial programming in fall 2024. Click here for more information about this amazing program!
